Saints of the Cheap Seats was offering it up for trade and we were able to work a trade out for this beauty. Thank you so much. I really appreciate the trade, it is so choice.

Gordon Beckham Collection
Here is a picture list of all the Gordon Beckham cards I have. Why pictures? I just like to see cards more than a list of words. If you have something not shown and want to trade it, please contact me so we can work something out, thanks.

This Week in Cardboarding
Welcome to This Week in Cardboarding. This week was is a tad late because I didn't get out of the house until late Sunday. So I didn't get to open it until late Sunday night. I went with another blaster of Heritage Hi from Target. Here is what I got:
Pack 1
Pack 2
Pack 3
an insert that makes no sense to me,
one hitter and one a pitcher,
one won the WS and one lost a WS
very odd to me
Pack 4
EVAN LONGORIA RELIC!!!!!!!
WOWee!! ZOWee!!!
Great Design and a relic of the main player i collect
Super Happy :)
Pack 5
Beckham another player I collect
Cahill Chrome
Future HOF John Smoltz
and a Reimold card (wish i still lived in Sarasota for the Orioles spring training)
Reimold help my fantasy teams
Sweet pack
Pack 6
Pack 7
Trevor Crowe Chrome
Cliff Lee in a Phillies Uni
Hampton a damaged card
Cecil another promising Blue Jay pitcher
Pack 8
Not really sure what happened with the first card in five of the packs, the bottom right corner of each got snagged on something in production. I am really glad that no other cards got damaged.
The blaster was Awesomely Amazing and it was a blast to open. At first I was little sad that I wasn't pulling the chrome as easy as the last blaster but then in pack four when I got the relic and I immediately saw that it was Longoria, I was over the moon. To bad the wife just isn't as enthusiastic as I am about such things. But she does play along, as I kept informing her for the rest of the night, that I got a Longoria Relic and Beckham. Same thing happened when I started my chrome kick and got a Beckham and Hanson Auto. I love her, she lets me be silly and doesn't get annoyed with my excitement. I never expect autos or relic in blasters and to get one of a player I collect was Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. I did end up with three Chrome so that was a plus too.
Well this will be last blaster I will actually buy, until I gain employment again. What a great one to end with. I will try to think of things to post til than to keep the blog live and hopefully requests of baseball cards for Christmas from family will turn up and extend things into January. Thanks again for checking out This Week in Cardboarding.

My first redemption card :)
Today in the mail, I got a strange little envelope - I ripped it open not having a clue what was inside and out came this beauty - I believe when I last looked it was slated for March 2010. Definitely a pleasant surprise. Thanks Topps!!

This Week in Cardboarding
Welcome to This Week in Cardboarding. This week was late and probably not going to happen for a couple of reasons. The main reason I'll address in my closing and one reason was I was holding out for Heritage high, but all I found while out and about was a single pack of Heritage high, no blasters, just a lone pack, so I picked it up.
two rookies and an O dog chrome
not a bad single pack

Okay, so my plan for this blog was going to spend twenty a week and trade as much possible, but for the last month you may have noticed I didn't always spend twenty dollars. I always wanted this blog to be about baseball cards and didn't want to bring up other things. But there is no way around the subject anymore, I have lost my job. Things are going to get tight following the New Year. So I asked Santa and his helpers (family) for blasters and I hope to spread whatever I get as long as I can. Until I find a job, this blog will be stopping some time in the near future. I thank everyone for reading my little blog and really thank all my trading partners and the friends I have made over the last several months. Blogging has definitely been a great experience.

Then I watched Julie and Julia on DVD with the wife last night, and got inspired to try to keep blogging until the end of the year. Its really only two more weeks, so I can definitely do it. I happen to be in a Target today and wouldn't you know they got blasters in of heritage high. Knowing I will get some Christmas money, I decided to take an advance out of future gifts and buy a blaster of heritage update. Here is what I got:
Pack 1
Pack 2
Pack 3
Pack 4
Pack 5
Pack 6
Pack 7
Pack 8
It was fun blaster and very nice to get four chrome (one refractor) in a single blaster. I definitely imagine I beat the odds with those. Thanks again for checking out This Week in Cardboarding.

This Week in Cardboarding
Welcome to This Week in Cardboarding. This week I went with a blaster of Topps Update from Wally World, so I get two packs of the black variants along with a manufactured patch. Well I tried scanning but the names on the cards weren't visible so I went back to the photo style for these uncooperative little buggers. Here is what I got:
Pack 1
Pack 2
Pack 3
Pack 4
Pack 5
Pack 6
Pack 7
Pack 8
Pack 9
pujols propaganda dup
love these cards just wish it wasn't the only one i had
anyone want my dup pujols?
Pack 10
Pack 11
Overall a fun blaster, definitely got a Rays fix. Some nice gold inserts, two turkey cards and some nice Wal-mart exclusive cards. I am glad they went to a two pack format, instead of a whole blaster, but if your a completest set collector, I am sure your not. Thanks again for checking out This Week in Cardboarding.

Trading with the CCC
Another trade completed with Carl Crawford Cards and another bonus from him. He is definitely a very generous trader. He posted the two Longorias for trade bait and I bit like the player collector I am.
Great cards, I really enjoyed the extras. Thanks so much Carl Crawford Cards!!
The Longoria propaganda card :)
(this is the card that hooked me, a card i have been craving)
and a mini with the black border
