This Week in Cardboarding

Welcome to This Week in Cardboarding. This week was late and probably not going to happen for a couple of reasons. The main reason I'll address in my closing and one reason was I was holding out for Heritage high, but all I found while out and about was a single pack of Heritage high, no blasters, just a lone pack, so I picked it up.

two rookies and an O dog chrome
not a bad single pack

Okay, so my plan for this blog was going to spend twenty a week and trade as much possible, but for the last month you may have noticed I didn't always spend twenty dollars. I always wanted this blog to be about baseball cards and didn't want to bring up other things. But there is no way around the subject anymore, I have lost my job. Things are going to get tight following the New Year. So I asked Santa and his helpers (family) for blasters and I hope to spread whatever I get as long as I can. Until I find a job, this blog will be stopping some time in the near future. I thank everyone for reading my little blog and really thank all my trading partners and the friends I have made over the last several months. Blogging has definitely been a great experience.

Then I watched Julie and Julia on DVD with the wife last night, and got inspired to try to keep blogging until the end of the year. Its really only two more weeks, so I can definitely do it. I happen to be in a Target today and wouldn't you know they got blasters in of heritage high. Knowing I will get some Christmas money, I decided to take an advance out of future gifts and buy a blaster of heritage update. Here is what I got:

Pack 1

Sweet, a Tillman Rookie and its back is different

Pack 2

Zimmerman chrome - nice

Pack 3

another chrome rookie :)

Pack 4

Mazzaro rookie and a Ray - me like

Pack 5

Fowler insert

Pack 6

another chrome and three rookies (two Bsox :)

Pack 7

Banks, this is a guy I am definitely targeting in fantasy in 2010
Penny chrome refractor - :)

Pack 8

an insert and another Zimmerman

It was fun blaster and very nice to get four chrome (one refractor) in a single blaster. I definitely imagine I beat the odds with those. Thanks again for checking out This Week in Cardboarding.

I'm sorry to hear about the job loss. Please don't give up entirely on the blog. (Good movie, by the way.)

I really like the catcher card from pack 5. I don't know who that is and I'm too lazy right now to look it up.

I hope that things work out for you, and that you will be back blogging again soon! (or don't stop at all!)
